This September, ska fans from around the world will gather at Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA for one of the biggest celebrations of ska music and culture: the Supernova International Ska Festival. I’m beyond excited to share that Evol Soul Co will be vending all three days of the festival — Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 14.
A Weekend of Legendary Ska
The lineup is absolutely stacked, bringing together legends, international favorites, and modern ska powerhouses. On Friday, bands like Voodoo Glow Skulls, Slow Gherkin, and Buck-O-Nine will kick things off with high-energy sets alongside Jamaican icons Lloyd Parks & Errol Dunkley.
Saturday promises to be just as unforgettable, with headliners like Less Than Jake, The Flatliners performing their Destroy to Create set, and Catch 22 reuniting with Jeff for a special Alone in a Crowd set. Other favorites like Spring Heeled Jack, Hub City Stompers, and Out of Control Army will keep the skanking going strong all day.
On Sunday, the festival closes with a bang — featuring Bedouin Soundclash, The Pietasters, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Mustard Plug, and international legends Desorden Público. Classics like The Toasters and exciting acts like 8 Kalacas, Rude Girl Revue, and Chris Murray round out the final day.
Evol Soul Co in the Marketplace
Between sets, be sure to swing by the Evol Soul Co booth in the vendor marketplace. I’ll be stocked up all weekend with my full range of laser-cut, laser-engraved, and hand-painted creations — from lapel pins and layered wooden art to slate coasters and more. Each piece is crafted with care, often using scrap materials to reduce waste while making something bold, colorful, and totally unique.
If you’re a fan of ska, punk, or just love original handmade art, you’ll definitely find something to take home as a reminder of this incredible weekend. We will have a fun variety of embroidered hats and a ton of 1 inch buttons to load up your jackets and vests.
